Frequently Asked Questions
Yes, our galleys are designed to bolt into the Sprinter and Transit. We have not tested the Promaster yet, but are confident they will, as its walls are more vertical. There are subtle differences between the Sprinter and Transit vans that affect how the back of the galley needs to be constructed. We only need to know which van the galley will be installed and where you plan to position the galley and we will build your galley to fit.
We provide several “L” brackets that attach to the galley’s extruded aluminum allowing the bracket infinite vertical positioning. These can be aligned with the main structural support rib in the Sprinter and Transit and bolted into the wall using Rivnuts. If your van has an Adventure Wagon interior or similar these brackets simply bolt into the horizontal wall “L” Track. Floor brackets are also provided and designed to work with the Smart Floor system.
All galleys can be installed on either the Driver side or the Passenger side. When ordering your galley for the passenger side, you need to select for back panels. A driver side install does not need to come with back panels; however, you may add them if you wish.
The Fridge Stand with its drawer weighs 45 lb.
The galleys weigh on average 120 lb.. This is with a bamboo countertop and without any of the options. 1/2″ Paperstone is double the weight of 1/2″ bamboo adding approximately 10 lb. to a Three85 galley.
All lead times are posted on our products web pages. We build everything to order and our products are bench built in our shop so there is a little bit of time between ordering and delivering.
Currently, our galleys are pickup only, but our other products can be shipped. We will be working on freight estimates for our galleys in the coming months. During pickup, however, we are happy to help install the galley into your van at a minimal cost. To make pickup even more desirable, you are welcome to spend a night camping in front of our beautiful shop on Bainbridge Island, WA. Bainbridge Island has a lot to offer and explore while you are visiting.
We are happy to install the galley or Fridge Stand you purchased at an hourly rate during your pickup. Time may vary depending on your van’s interior.
